Rob and Nick made the work of Vivienne Westwood after her passing to reflect something cyborgian- half human, half robot. The lines of the neon tube type strokes are meant to echo the neuropathways in the brain.

Rob and Nick:
"The tubes on this CG render: We love playing with the audience's perception and making them do some work to make sense of an image. The tools we've built to prepare things for the robot have some side effects that can make CG effects that we couldn't arrive at in other ways. For example, the Vivienne Westwood tubes come from trying to make an efficient path for the robot, whilst still preserving the essence of Vivienne Westwood. And the structure itself can land anywhere between a full photographic likeness, and a totally abstract tangle of flesh, hair, and lipstick.”
